Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Chandrayaan 3 Moon mission Successful

Chandrayaan-3 is the third Indian lunar exploration mission under the Indian Space Research Organisation's (ISRO) Chandrayaan programme. It consists of a lander named Vikram and a rover named Pragyan, similar to those of the Chandrayaan-2 mission of ISRO.

The mission was launched on August 12, 2023 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. The lander successfully soft-landed on the Moon's south pole on August 24, 2023, making India the first nation to achieve this feat. The rover is currently exploring the lunar surface and conducting various scientific experiments.

The mission aims to study the topography, mineralogy, exosphere and signatures of water-ice on the lunar south pole region. The lander and rover carry a total of eight scientific payloads, including instruments for measuring seismic activity, surface temperature, plasma density and composition, and elemental analysis. The propulsion module also carries a payload for observing the Earth's atmosphere and polarization.

The mission has received widespread acclaim and appreciation from various quarters, including the sports icons of India. The ISRO chief Dr. K. Sivan has highlighted the importance of exploring the Moon's south pole, saying that it is less illuminated by the Sun and may have more resources than other regions. He also praised the efforts of the ISRO scientists and engineers who worked tirelessly to make the mission a success.

Chandrayaan-3 is a remarkable achievement for India and a testament to its scientific prowess and ambition. It is also a source of inspiration and pride for millions of Indians who have followed the mission with keen interest and enthusiasm.

Congratulations team ISRO to make us proud 🇮🇳🌙
